It is a very difficult time for the whole family when we are unable to look after our elderly relatives either because of a physical disability or a mental deterioration. When this happens we put our faith in the medical establishment to ensure they get the care and treatment that they deserve.
Unfortunately, the standard of care the elderly receive in both NHS Hospitals and Care Homes and Private and Local Authority Care Homes can sometimes fall below the required standard. This can lead to injuries through trips and falls or further physical deterioration if the patient is not provided with the appropriate medication or treatment. Occasionally, hygiene standards can lead to bed sores and urinary tract infections.
If you are worried about the standard of care that a relative is receiving then please contact our team for advice and assistance on how best to rectify the situation.
